Dynamic paintings, that move as you look more deeply. The Wildscapes are brought in.   Resolved, imprinted scenes from an artist translating nature's joy and flux.  The viewer gives over to them in the space, as the artist has in full body, painting them outside.  Safely and securely held by the words of the titles.  Collected Nationally and Internationally this is an opportunity to get to know a selection of Chloë's works as they come to a central London location from...

Colour Bath Text, a guide on how to view Chloë's paintings, take 5 breaths...

Showcasing vibrant, colourful landscapes, painted ‘en plein air’ through the seasons in Cornwall, Scotland and in NSW Australia after the fires. A body of work that leans into our relationship with water, rivers and sea through adventure and safe harbour.  Nature rich, beautiful sites. Ancient inspiration translated through a prism of hope. The collection (slowly released online) covers select pieces from 2019 to 2023, moving through the lens of international independence to quiet pregnancy and becoming an Artist Mother. Beginning with an artist's residency at Trebah Gardens and an inaugural solo show there in spring 2023.  On entering this exhibition, or viewing the paintings, in person or online, I invite you to take five nasal breaths of five seconds out and five seconds in. Linger on the out...

In Memoriam, Turner Prize Winner Professor Grenville Davey (28 April 1961 – 28 February 2022)

[Some reflections by Chloë Tinsley, after Grenville Davey's Memorial at the Tate Modern bearing witness to his life and work I,II,III] Mentor, artist, dear friend, co-collaborator, mischief maker, muse, believer.  Sculptor.  Professor.  Draughtsman.  Turner Prize Winner.  Olympic Artist.  Grenville Davey was a sculptor, draughtsman, professor and interdisciplinary collaborator.  He bridged the old with the new, standing between generations of the art canon. He was respected for his sculpture and had caught the eye of one of the leading galleries in the UK before he won the Turner Prize in 1992.  At the point of receiving the award, he was already on firm ground with International Collectors and had his eye and soul cued into creating his work. The year he won  was also...
